The Third Central Asia Climate Change Conference (CACCC 2020) will be held online on October 19-23, 2020. The objective of the conference is to strengthen a regional dialogue on climate change and sustainable development through the information and knowledge exchange in Central Asia. A series of our publications will be dedicated to the speakers of the upcoming event. And, today, we would like to introduce you to Abdujabbor Abdujamilov, Leading Specialist of the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan. He will participate as a panellist in the session “Mobilization of various-source finance resources to support climate actions” on the fifth day of CACCC 2020, October 23, 2020.
Abdujabbor Abdujamilov - Leading Specialist of the Department for Infrastructure Development, Fuel and Energy Complex, Chemistry and Geology of the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic Uzbekistan. In this capacity he coordinates environmental aspects, construction and energy efficiency of industrial enterprises and housing. Mr. Abdujamilov is responsible person for strengthening environmental aspects of the investment climate and infrastructure development projects in cooperation with the Asian Development Bank (ADB), European Bank for Reconstruction and Develoment (EBRD) and the French Development Agency (AFD).
Abdujabbor Abdujamilov also coordinates the implementation of principles of public-private partnership for attracting direct foreign investments in environmental protection. For instance, since 2018 he has been coordinating the investment project “Production of electricity from landfill gas at the Akhangaran and Maidontol municipal waste sites in Tashkent province” with the participation of the Korean company “Sejin G&E Со., Ltd.” (waste to energy).
Mr. Abdujamilov graduated from a number of international educational institutions, including Buckswood School (Guestling, Great Britain), College du Léman (Geneva, Switzerland), British School of Alicante (Alicante, Spain), Latvia University (Riga, Latvia).
