Angelina Davydova - moderator of CACCC-2021

The Fourth Central Asia Climate Change Conference (CACCC-2021) will be held on July 26-27, 2021, in Dushanbe, Tajikistan. The conference will be conducted as a mix of in-person and virtual meetings.

The objective of the conference is to strengthen the regional dialogue, information and knowledge exchange in order to support climate-resilient evidence-based decision-making systems, as well as to explore the possibilities to ensure the synergy in climate projects implementation between international finance organizations and the development agencies in Central Asia.

   A series of our publications will be dedicated to the speakers and moderators of the upcoming event. And, today, we would like to introduce you to environmental journalist Angelina Davydova. She will be a moderator of thу CACCC-2021 thematic sessions on climate policy and the role of civil society and climate financing.


Moderator

Angelina Davydova is an environmental journalist, and she writes articles for Russian international mass media, including Kommersant, Thomson Reuters Foundation, журнала Science. Angelina is also the editor of the journal “Ecology and Law”, the director of the Bureau of Environmental Information and a teacher at the Saint Petersburg State University (journalist faculty), Saint Petersburg National University of Information Technologies, Mechanics and Optics, MARKHI State Academy of Architecture (Moscow).

Angelina Davydova is also the organizer of a number of educational courses and training on environmental journalism and communication. She is a professional moderator and facilitator of environmental and climate events. Angelina Davydova has been participating regularly as an observer in UN climate change negotiations since 2008.

Angelina was graduated from a number of environmental and journalist educational programs, including in Oxford (Great Britain) in 2006, Hamburg (Germany) in 2009, Berkeley (California, USA) in 2012 and University of Davis (California, USA) in 2018-2019.
